Due to the political climate, Palestinian architecture takes on a unique and individual identity. Architectural partners work with everything unique from evacuated military bases to the transformation of refugee camps, incomplete government structures and ruins of destroyed villages.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in exciting and innovative projects that focus on the urbanization of refugee camps, which aim to create gathering and meeting spaces for refugee communities, the urbanization of schools, and the development of shelters for the less advantaged. Other projects involve the excavation and rehabilitations of abandoned quarry sites and the design and implementation of regeneration projects.
This could be an extremely rewarding experience for volunteers as it will not only have a direct impact on the community but also allow the volunteer to think outside the box and integrate dynamic and progressive ideas and solutions into their work and studies.
