The ICT sector in Palestine is growing at a fast pace and contributing significantly to the Palestinian economy. Palestine has about 250 ICT companies, supporting the livelihoods of approximately 6,400 employees. Statistics indicate that four in every 10 youth in Palestine are unemployed, and the purpose of this program is to develop IT and computer skills and expand job prospects.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in vocational programs such as computer programming, web and graphic design, network security and mobile applications, and teach young children in less advantaged areas the basics of IT applications and computer programming. They will also have the opportunity to teach at local universities and assist in the development of IT and computer programming departments.
Volunteers with IT or programming skills are welcome to come aboard this amazing experience and take part in projects that increase job prospects for children and students in less advantaged communities, and exchange ideas and creativities.
